What are your cancellation policies?

If the booking is cancelled less than 30 days before arrival, then a charge equal to 50% of the stay will be made. If the booking is cancelled less than 7 days before arrival, then a charge equal to the full booking amount will be made. In the event of a no show or booking reduction (after arrival date), the full cost of the booking is charged.

Please note: Different cancellation policies may apply when reservation was made via a 3rd party booking service (e.g. Booking.com, Airbnb, Expedia). Those bookings must be cancelled through the applicable provider and cannot be cancelled through us.

For group bookings (of more than 3 rooms), different policies may apply. Please check with us directly.

What are your check-in and check-out times?

REGULAR CHECK-IN : starts at 3pm
EARLY CHECK-IN: 12pm for $50 (based on availability).

REGULAR CHECK-OUT: 11am
LATE CHECK-OUT: until 2pm for $50 (based on availability).

Do you offer self-check-in?

Yes, this property is self-check-in only.

We send out detailed arrival instructions 48 hours prior to arrival, check-in starts at 3pm and guests can check-in anytime after that.

Do you allow pets?

DRIFT AWAY is a dog-friendly property with a fully fenced backyard.

As always practice responsibility in cleaning up after your dog.
We charge a fee of $40/dog per night.

What form of payment may I use to pay?

We accept all major credit cards with a 3% transaction fee.

Do you have A/C in all rooms?

Yes, the house features central A/C. Additionally we provide portable fans.

Do you offer airport pick-ups?

We have a private driver who provides service to our guests. ILM pick-up and drop-off for $25/way. For other airports/destinations, please contact us directly.

For a less fancy ride feel free to use Uber or Lyft.

How far are you from the beach?

We are 8 miles from Wrightsville Beach and 18 miles from Kure Beach. There are many nearby beaches to explore including Topsail Beach and Oak Island. We are surrounded by some of the most beautiful beaches in the United States so if beaches are your thing, you are in luck!

How far from downtown?

Sunset Park is a short 5-8 minute car ride from downtown Wilmington.

Is there a pool?

No, DRIFT AWAY does not feature a pool.

Is the backyard fully fenced?

Yes, the private backyard is fully fenced.

Are bedrooms located on the second floor?

One out of three bedrooms is located on the attic level (second floor).
